Ive been hunting for a performance outboard boat for a while, and researching the options. A Voodoo keeps coming back into the picture as a fun, small, easy to store, good for my son and me option. I've search the web for all the info i can. So far as i know there is two models, the regular and the ...

Thats what i thought on the trailer. Ive never had to get a trailer cert, due to all mine have been registered "homebuilt".

So, about $300-500 in taxes, and hoops to get through on a $3000-3500 boat on a trailer (before repairs/parts).

Good to know going into it.

Thanks again all. All the little tid bits of info help. I think im going to invest in a compression tester. Something i should of owned decades ago. My goal is to be on the water in 2016, doing 60ish in a cool outboard boat for 4k or less. I figure anything i get is gonna atleast need a tune up, or ...

Ad says early 90's power head. Older covers. Oil injection has been removed. Id be happy if it ran good, and could cruise at 60ish without blowing up the first run. I have had bad luck with alot of two smokes ive owned over the years. All dirt bikes though, and after a simple piston and rings they w...

yes, Id rather pay what it cost in materials for a core on top of 3500 then me buy and do it myself. I see alot of 18' Chargers asking 6kish, but they are probably restored and have nicer rigging in some cases. Im at the point where im gonna stop dreaming, and start going and checking some out. Alwa...

Thanks for the info! Ive combed over alot of restoration stories, and how to check moisture the best i can. Ill do my best. Im most concerned about the hull. Really dont want to do a core. Looks like absolute hell work. The machines were tool grinders for specialized end mills, drills, contour bits....

I think he was into Tboats. Ive been watching fast outboards scream by my cottage since i was born, and im middle aged no...
