On almost any planing hull you can just assume that the center of gravity and buoyancy is 60 to 65 percent aft of the bow.

IMO, the main problems with the voodoos is the short pad and on the < 200 lbs race layup boats, the flimsy sides of both deck and hull. You could hold the steering wheel still, and turning motor by hand, to see the whole dash shift side to side. Big difference once we built up the pad and stiffened ...
