I'm no where near 1000 hours but so far so good, and nice to read a positive review.
Also, I know noise at races is great but running it quietly at the cottage has a lot of value in terms of my neighbour relations.

My 10' Glen-L 'Tunnel Mite' tunnel ran 70 kmph or so with the Yamato 302. Super quick cornering, can handle reasonable waves, and plenty fast for cottage use. It is a relatively heavy boat as constructed, could certainly be built lighter/faster. Always wanted to try a 30 Yamaha on it. OTOH, the Yama...

Or just buy two wedge plates from Bob's Machine, not expensive and relatively light. That's what I did when I had trouble getting my Rapid Craft on plane, even with one of Kevin's setback plates. The wedge plates allowed for minimal setback and created sufficient tuck-in, now easily up on plane. I a...

Matt, I just ran, for the first time, a Ron Hill 11 5/8" x 20 pitch 4 blade. On my heavy Rapid Craft, solid 57 mph, barely 58, at 6150-6200 rpm [1.83 gearing which is different than yours, that may be an issue]. Key is much better out of the hole, so hopefully improved mid range acceleration as...

We had for the longest time a 'utility' version of the Club Car [even had a motorized dumping bed, and the bed was a decent size, useful]. They come in both gas and electric. I believe both ways lots of torque, never an issue with heavy loads of building materials and going uphill [our island cottag...

I have one extra prop, which seems to have a bit of history. I got it from Jeff Baker [Jeff and Sam Baker built the Rapid Crafts]. It is a DAH prop, stamped 2024F C2.5. Jeff Baker said is is Jeff Brown’s former prop that he ran when he won the world Sport E championships one year. It is a 12.0” over...
