Well the Miami International Bloated Center Console show was fun. You need at least 2 days to see everything. The only small performances boat I saw was a Checkmate around 23 feet with a Verado. Even though I’m an OMC guy it was cool to see a full CRT motor at the ProMarine booth. The sales lady fro...

I had the same feeling as David. It just doesn't seem to be the right motor for an STV. .........Unless you want to look like you’re moving a new fridge to the cottage! You're going to hurt Matt's feeling! Well, it kind of pains me to say this,.....but.......I agree with all of you ...

Having a boat that I can take anywhere and not worry about scratching it has it's up side....and the kids can eat ice cream in it and I couldn't care less lol. Bingo - perfect recipe for a relaxing boating day. I had similar concern with my drunk buddies, brothers, and party beach tramps scratching...

There’s a post or two on S&F on the V4s. All the same principles that apply to mods to the V6 and V8 loopers apply to the smaller sibling also.

Keep in mind the 90 degree looper V4 OMC makes considerably more torque than these 3 cyl Yams; even more in modified form (a relatively mild pump-gas lake motor can make 200 hp). Will these cases designed for much smaller motors hold up to lake use ? The V4 lower unit is durable, smaller diameter th...

One 16" Taylor mid can probably be made available, $1600. That's just the midsection, not any brackets or adapter or anything.
If you want it shoot me a PM and I'll link you two up. Keep in mind these are no longer made.

I will contact the hoarder in question and post if any of the Taylors are available. Jack Barsh of Full Throttle powerboats cuts the mids, as does another guy on S&F (forget his name, look in the classifieds - he does lots of Mercs - Mike Chapman if I remember correctly ?). That 89 looper is a G...

I'm planning to go to the Miami Boat show for the first time in February. Has anybody on here gone before ? Any particular things you'd recommend I check out at the show, or Miami in general ? Anybody else going ?
