Done, NO LEAKS!!! finally got out for a run between showers today, calm conditions, airs out quicker with the 12" setback and 1" holes in the prop, I hit 85 at just over 6100, the handling was good, hard de=acceleration off pad from 80 plus and right into a turn was no problem.I could not get much more than 6100 rpm though. Have to check again I'm getting full throttle opening LOL as I worked late saturday on it. For a first run, I'm very happy, after a little more testing with different propshaft heights, and a little better conditions(more chop) I'll see whats next, I think I might have a little of the cup removed buchorn added, and leave only the tip portion, my goal is 6500rpm and very high eighties to 90, I still think it is within reach with this combo with a bit of tuning, the excell was noticably crisper in the low/ midrange with the airbox holes drilled out in the back .The prop did not seem to lose bite at 1.5" above the pad either, just need about 300 to 400 rpm.

Glad to hear you made it out and things are coming together. 85 is pretty darn good man! Oh and the red cowl looks nice back there :)

still leaking on full boat trips this week, found the leak, hole in top of starboard tunnel. damn drill happy owner LOL, boat running great, handles great with 12" setback, no faster so far, but carries weight much better. motor wont rev over 6100. The 91 degree water and mid ninties air isnt helping . still on holliday for the next two weeks, will fix the hole when back in Beaverton next tuesday and test some more after that. Leaned the low speed jets to 2 turns out, no more fouled plugs when idling around. The scorpion is the best prop so far, going to re check the plugs, I think one coil might be breaking down, have a bunch of spares to use, hopefully I can get a few hundred more rpm out of her.

Surprised that the Scorpion is the best wheel for that boat  Love the look of that boat and the red cowl just tops it off beautifully.

Thanks Ken, I 've tried a few props so far this year, Toms 30 Hoss worked pretty well, still not as good as the scorpion with the excell, need a few hundred more rpm, the boat is peaking at full lift right now, I'm scared to raise it up more, , its 1.5" above the pad when measuring it level, not that much higher in actual running conditions/ angles I dont think anyway, I might try 1 hole up on the setback and see what happens.
