I love the gel.... Checkmates are timeless. They also seem to go hand in hand with red. To top it off it's got the right motor and it's fast!

[quote="Supermitchie"]Beautiful boat... I know it's pretty because my wife Julia picked it... And she married me, which means that she knows pretty when she sees it!

81mph with ox66 Yamaha power!!! He can fill in the rest.

Oh jeez guys I'm honored!!! Are you sure it's not an April fools joke lol? I wanted a STV Euro, (used to have a Charger STV with a 2.4l efi) but could not get Sherry's blessing for another 4 seater hot rod. When I bought the Checkmate it was a 70 mph boat, which wasn't exactly what I was after, but it could hold 8-9 people ( I've had ten in it and it still gets on plane with a 25") and had some practicality. I really didn't know it some performance potential until I'd owned it for a while. It's current best of 81.7 is after a lot of set-up and prop changes. The motor is completely stock, except I installed an HPDI lower unit last year mid-season. The original case had had enough of being surfaced. I have to thank many members on many forums for advice along the way, you guys know who you are. Thanks again, I hope to make it out to more events this year!!

Nice! Pretty impressive speeds for something you can seat that many people with!
