I want to know about the block stuffing I read about a lot on the net.
Seems loads talk of how they are doing it and yet nobody is saying what the exact results of this block stuffing is.

Why do people want to decrease the crankcase volume ?
in what way does this improve the power of the engine ?

As the 2 stroke runs it creates negative pressure in the crankcase as the piston is on its way to TDC, on its way to BDC positive. Less crankcase area means less lag between the positive and negative hopefully opening the reed valves sooner allowing more air/ fuel in through the carbs during negative pressure and more air/fuel through the ports on the positive.
Thats the way i understand it anyways.

Bottom line is that it creates more compression.
