Does anyone know if this head can be shaved down enough to get 150 to 160 lbs. compression?
You can't get there with the stock YAMAHA 6H3 head.
You can with a 70CES head, but they sell for approximate $1000.00 US.

How much can be shaved from a true Yamaha factory 6H3 head? What compression do you end up with?

I have tested several untouched stock heads and one milled one.
UNTOUCHED.....low of 107 to high of 121 ...they were on different USED 6H2 powerheads....many were around 110 to 115
The milled one was 134 and so thin metal wise I just put it in the junk bin I would not run it.

Matt and DOC here's your chance to get a good CES head.....150 psi is correct for a legal 70CES.
