I to have not been on here lately myself. I had a delay with the fitting of the gears into a case because I grouped up with some of the other purchasers of the gear sets and Cryo treated them before installation. I have put one case together with the new gear sets for a guy who is giving it to his son for X-mass. Lucky kid! The assembly went with out a hitch and shimming was without a problem. The gear mesh feels good once installed dry and with oil even better. It's great to have another source for these gears to keep this sport alive!
Sorry for the delay in reporting back Paul C but a little bit of life got in the way on this one to. lol!

Are you going to run those gears in 750? If so, were they approved with a rule change? I wouldn't mind trying them if they are legal in T-750.

For OPBRA, I motioned to have all gears that fit without modifications allowed. OPBRA has discussed it and I think it will pass.

I have not gone through the process yet with TORC. Feel free to do so!

No idea which motor I'll run until I get some testing in.

Quick Update

The second set of gears I have from GearPro's gave me an issue with the forward gear bushing where it runs on the prop shaft. When measuring the O.D of the shaft and the I.D of the gear they were the same size. I checked a couple of other prop shafts I have and they all measured the same. I have a new unused OMC fwd gear and measured that I.D and it was 0.002" larger in dia. I have reported this to GearPro's and am waiting their reply.

Out of the 2 sets I bought from GearPros, one of them has the same issue described above by mercrazy, the other is ok.

Not impossible for a machine shop to bore out the inner bushing by one or two thou, but still annoying.

ANY ?? Updates??
Has anyone run their gear set?
Anyone tried a different gear ratio in a 2 cylinder?
Anyone had their gear bushing bored out? Did it work?
Will the supplier replace gears that were incorrectly produced?

One reason I am asking is I have a 2 cylinder gearcase that needs to be rebuilt and it will need new inners. I am toying with the idea of a two piece (Tim Topping) drive shaft, billet (Mike Hooper) carrier and a set of these gears. The two piece drive shaft would have 2 different top sections...one for a 3 cylinder...second one for the 2 cylinder. That way I can run the gearcase on either motor.
