The problem with the 30 is the small propshaft...hard to find decent props that fit it

Ah, ok that makes sense.

For some reason I was thinking 2.0:1 was a possibility on the 40/50 maybe, if the 30hp had those gears and the lowers could be swapped.. I think I remember someone saying the gear ratio was different 30hp vs 40hp.. Have been wanting to confirm all this...
