Ok guys, question has likely been asked a bunch of times already but....
What works best for removing the goo residue after you pull out glued down carpet?
Gotta get the Alli cleaned out and the floor repainted before I can get rockin on the rerig.
Cheers.

I have used varsol in a spray bottle and a on of those flat paint scrapers.. I had to let the varsol eat at it for a few hours for it to get soft enough to scrape into a pile.

You can mix varsol with acetone (keeps the acetone from evaporation right away) and spray it from a paint gun. Let it sit and go at it with a razor blade or disk sadder if that fails.
Its a pretty shirt process.
Goo gone might help too.

3M makes an adhesive remover. Put it on a rag, rub it into the area, let it sit and scrape it off with a plastic or wooden scraper. Worked for me!!

Ended up using brake cleaner. Not the environmentally friendly crap, the good old fashioned " holy crap I'm stoned, I wonder why I can't feel my legs " stuff. Worked great! Sprayed about 4 sqft at a time, let it sit for 5 minuted then used a scrapper. Worked great. Finished off with an acetone wipe down.
Gonna get a light sanding then a coat of paint, after the new foot throttle mount gets glassed in.
