OK, now you're just bragging, you've earned it; all else suffering dreadfully from inadequacy.
You've got a lot of fans ready for the formal unveiling.

Thanks for all the comments guys, definitely happy so far with how everything has turned out. The faring looks as if it was made for the boat, couldn't believe myself how well it meshed. And Kenny, Wilson? Really? lmao

Amazing job! The whole package looks great. How many hours do you figure you put into doing the core? Want to do a Laser? haha

Post subject:  Re: Something Different

The core wasn't all that bad. The most time was shaping and cutting all the pieces to fit properly. But by the time its shaped and fitted, bonded, then you chamfer the edges and using structural fibreglass to fill any voids and round all the corners where the lifting strakes are it all adds up. I would say I probably have ballpark 250ish hours between grinding out all the old and then redoing the new (core, stringers, floor, transom, and fitting the faring) and then add about another 75 hours worth of filling and sanding to prep before paint (that 75 hours might even be a little on the low side, I know it took a long time and felt as though it was never going to end).
