Well started taking a good look at the boat, getting ready to put the motor back on. After the 3 hour trailer ride home i noticed a few holes that were filled started cracking threw. So got out the sand paper and sanded out the primer. Going to grind out around them and lay in some glass so it dosent happen again

After 34 years of having big power bolted on the transoms showings its age. It was resently done but the out fit that did it must not have clamped on a straight edge. Hard to see in the pic but there the motor bolts is low and in the middles a big high spot. It straightens out about halfway down. Gonna sand out some of the high spot and then lay up some glass in the low spots to even it out. Not gonna go to crazy on it just going to tune it up a bit. I out lined on the back were it needs to be fixed, about a 1/4" difference from low to high

Barney soon to be no more, sprayed on the first coat of white interlux brightside on the deck, looks pretty shiney right now, will give it a sand this week and lay on coat 2.

i'm interrested to see how the paint turns out! I've just used interlux brightside but I rolled and tipped instead of spraying.
It came out good but not perfect enough for me to paint a top.
You CANT wetsand it or buff-polish it without messing up the clear. so what you see is what you get. If you arent satisfied re-sand it with 320 and re-paint it.

Yea i want to put another coat on atleast. It came out really flat im pretty happy with it. Got 1 or 2 runs in a few spots but i planned on doing a second coat anyway so ill sand it down in a day or 2 and lay on a second coat abit lighter

One thing i dont like about spraying this paint is any little scratch in the surface it dosent fill it. Sanded it all with the da sander and theres still a few scratches that come up, deffinetly a lot different than spraying automotive paint. It will take a few more coats to get used to the paint.

Glad to see this one back in the forums. I just sold my 16 SS, but I'm working on a 16 Low-Pro, adding a pad, and intending to power it with a worked 140 OMC. Keep us posted :)
