History? I am reading a book about how Chris Craft went bankrupt. Good read so far.

Use your boat? Two jugs of Mercury premium plus at 40:1 went through my 225 PM last summer. I used my J craft a lot more with only 1 on board tank of oil.

roll on a couple of coats of interlux brightside paint. cheap and pretty good looking

I'm thinking about that actually. That may be a next winter project if I can get it on a trailer and in the shop at the marina.
