Post subject:  Replacing your rotten wood transom with a pour liquid one

The idea started about 12 years ago as an easy way for non professional boat repair people to do their own transom replacement using a liquid poured in between the inner and outer walls of the transom.
You don’t have to necessarily remove the deck, but you need to remove ALL the rotten transom wood .
There are several long and painful to watch videos on YouTube. First you see them using screwdrivers and hammers. Then usually a chainsaw..It takes a lot of time and effort to get it ready for the pouring.
But first they have to mix the stuff. It comes in what looks like 5 gallon pails and you need 2 pails or more to do the job. They mix, they add hardener, they add chopped fiberglass. Seems to take forever.
They start pouring... some of the brands pour like thick cream and flow easily. Others are thicker and they need to use push sticks and bang the transom to get it to go down.
Then they have to do the next pail. Even with two working, they are getting tired by this time. The liquid starts to setup before they finish and the job gets messy.

The products should work based on the manufacturers information. But based on the videos the process is far from easy.

Anyone tried using these products?
