The YZ 426 are the hardest things to start in the whole world. They always drop valves like there disposible. First year of the racing 4 stroke. Many many problems.

Stay far far away. Anything older than a 05 yamaha 4 stroke was mess.

A guy I worked with had an '11 450 (I think) Yamaha, thing was a beast. Needed re-jetting, stock was way too lean. Suspension was too tall for my stumpy little legs, but riding it was very nice, tons of torque.

2 strokes are way cheaper and easier to maintain anyway.. id rather find an 06 250 or 125. aluminum frame if i ever decide to own another murdercross bike
