Autographs will be available at the next TORC meeting

Well done Kevin, winning 2014 season with a busted up boat, and Six Mile having claimed a powerhead. Congrats!

Ted and I were working the turn boat in corner 3&4 for the last round of T850 and was one of the highlight of the day for me. Super exciting fast boats and all you Guyz were entertaining to watch ... Great racing and congrats too Kevin and all the other racers and shop like TopGun that made all this happen.

here, for a comparison. The boat set up did not change, only the power... and a pretty new dash

Here is the 56cu.in oval port

here is the 49cu.in (keeping in mind it's a shorter course, and the poor baby was pretty tired)

Not only is the motor impressive, but so is the driving skill and the set up of the boat. T drivers can learn a lot from this video.
- notice how quiet Jake's hands are on the wheel..he doesn't try to over drive the boat. One key to driving T is the seat of the pants feel. Let the boat rock side to side. If you keep trying to correct it the rock will get worse and you have to back off.
- look at the exit speed out of the turn. The boat is at 45 to 50 mph. Slower than you would think. But accurate.
- watch the graph of the race course and the speeds down the straights. The boat accelerates all the way. THAT IS A GOOD PROP SELECTION. ET is all about quickness and not just top speed.
- The only time it gets to 75 is on the first lap. The water conditions for the later laps make it impossible to keep your foot in it. On the positive speed listen to how fast the motor reacts at any speed and thru the complete RPM range, NO FLAT SPOTS.
Excellent motor.
-if Jake had got a better start and got the lead at the start. You would see 76 to 77 on lap 1 just because of the better water associated with leading the race at the start.
