This is a video of a T boat racing an 4 stroke 60 Mercury/tunnel. The T boat has the steering well back and it is an open style hull compared to the closed style Critchfields.
The boat really handles well and notice how calm the drivers hands are on the wheel.

The course does have a slight right turn.

It does handle well...but it can't get passed a 60mph F4 tunnel...and me and Coulter have pretty good examples of open T's no? I'm sure one of us coulda got around that 4stroke lol.

First off I am not a lover of tunnel hulls with closed cockpits, to me they aint real boats.
BUT that four stroke tunnel can leave him for dead anytime he wants.
go back and watch when he puts the power down and leaves the open boat for dead.
the four stroke merc's on tunnels are good all day long for 70 straight out the box..
I watched these hitting 74 last week, no modifications at all, complete stock.

But the open t-boat does go well, not so sure about the steering being half way down the boat ?
and a chine walking nightmare.
its views like this that show how hard the drivers are working to keep these little boats going so fast.

great video

F4 tunnels are not fast...74 is impressive for a kilo run with a 60 4-stroke but that's a far cry from something that will turn laps. LittleCharger's delta would but a hurting on the boat in the video....no question...
