I picked this up from Top Gun in the fall for a great deal but I can tell I'll never have time to do anything with it. I'm going to stick with T-boat stuff for now. This boat is very light, and comes with a Merc offshore mid, manual jack plate, wingplates and steering hardware. Also comes with the trailer. Future drag boat maybe? Just looking to get back what I paid. $3000 for the package. For another $1000, I'll throw in a 200hp 2.5L Merc XRI with low compression on one cylinder (popped the head off and cylinder wall should clean up fine) It has Bobs cone and lwpu installed on the lower unit but needs to be filled in again and smoothed out.

Has this boat ever resurfaced again in Ontario? I remember when Seebold loaned the 18 foot molds to Sidewinder who were making the 20 footer. Along with the molds came a solid grey boat. That centre steer boat was sold to a fellow on Lake of Bays. I do not know if Sidewinder made any 18s before the molds were returned to the states. The 18 was a different animal to the 20.

It went to Tomcat and then sold to someone else on here I think. I'm pretty sure I saw it in someone's profile picture

Rob (RCFB on this site) owns it...has a beautiful 220 Special on it and takes his kids skiing with it.

Yup, I have it and use it on Lake of Bays. It has been converted from center steer to side with two buckets in the front and a small bench in the back.

After Seebold got the molds back they reworked the molds a bit more to race in Mod VP. Their boat was competitive in the class for a year. I am guessing that your boat is not the grey one. It was at Scycraft either for stripe work or a blow over repair it's first season. Maybe Rob did both, fixed it and added some striping. The boat was since 90% grey.

We occasionally see the odd Seebold built and Seebold Sidewinder built tunnels on the market. I wonder if there are many still many around. This thread is from years ago . Back then the owners were very pleased with their boats and many had enjoyed them for many years.
Any updates or new news on these special ModVP rare tunnels???
