When the transoms got taller these type kits were popular especially for high performance 15 inch models. The advantage is you use all the original motors parts. Saves you from cutting down the transom. The 650XS 15 inch midsection is special with solid mounts....ideal kit for mounting the 650XS on a VooDoo with a 24 inch transom. |

Well your never too old to learn something NEW! I am always thinking short shaft motors. Ends up this 5 inch extension kit is better suited for a 20 inch long shaft to make the motor a 25 inch. Application....used on pontoon, work boats and on boats used on larger rough water lakes where the waves are too high and outboards get washed out while being tied at the dock or while carrying heavy loads.. Raising the motor that extra 5 inches keeps the powerhead high and dry. |
