Lookin like a great turnout, can't wait!! I'll be thumbin it for a ride, taking vids with my GoPro. For anyone who hasn't been on the otonabee yet, it's a great run. Very little traffic this time of year, last year we were able to run it at very decent speeds, one of the best runs all year!!

Heads Up

There is a Lock to go through to get to Peterborough.
I think we impressed the Lock Master last year.
The guy was supper and waved the fee for all of us.
A few did have a season pass, about 8 of us didn't.
Looking at the web site it's about a $1.60 tax in a ft.
That's a day pass, didn't see a one lock type deal.
Paying might not be so bad.
If we do, we could ride the a 20 metre ride up and down the Peterborough Lift Lock.
We could do it after launch as it is open until 5pm.
What could be cooler then some pics of the Lift full of Fast Boats.
For those that don't know, the Lock Lift lifts the boats and the water by only using water.
It's easy to head back down the River if your not into heading to Peterborough.
Some last year only came for the River Run.

Also, if launching at Harris, they have fees as well. I paid $10 for the day to be parked on the grass, not sure what launch fee is, as I didn't have a boat.

When you say "Harris" ... Are you talking "Harris boat works"?

Yes Mitchie, on the south side of Rice Lake. Pretty much a straight shot to the river
