2018 Class Rules 3-Cylinder Outlaw Entry Level racing for Lake Boats at a minimal cost 1) Hulls will be limited to Flat, V Bottom and Tunnel. No Hydro or Outrigger style hulls 2) Boat must meet all DSRA safety regulations. Battery and fuel tank secured (bolted, strapped) Lifejacket with leg straps (lifeline or equv. ect.) Working fire extinguisher within reach of driver. Driver must be seat and steering wheels only. No tillers. Hulls must have means of strapping for weighing. 3) Any Fuel- No Alcohol, No Additives, No Nitro Methane. 4) Timing computers, controllers allowed 5) No power adders. (NOS, turbo, blower, etc.…) 6) 3 Cylinder engines only and limited to 86ci. Must have been production fishing outboard before modifications. (60SST OMC allowed) Lower unit must be of the shift able type and may have low water pickup attached. Mismatching of brands between powerhead and lower unit allowed. Any midsection and trim allowed. 3-Cylinder Outlaw All weights subject to review at any time Weights will be determined by Cube Inch ➢ 42ci-44ci 700lbs ➢ 45ci-62ci 800lbs ➢ 63ci-86ci 880lbs |

These are basically the rules we are working off, but as Craig said we haven't finalized our class rules yet. Stay tuned! |

I like the 42 to 44 cubic inch class There are many successful MODS for the 40-50 hp Yamahas Here is a thread that covers the YAMAHA mods. http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forums/s ... ded-Yamaha Don't forget you can use parts from other models and/or other engine makes in your build.
