There must be a copyright issue between Apr Superleague and the TV cable company that covered the event. This is the only YouTube video on the F3 (SST 60) World Championship from 2008. There hasn’t been an F3 World Championship since. Jim’s comments and forecast for the final in this interview were dead on. He was starting 3 rd on the dock for the final. He drove terrible in the heat races, but the boat was very good. He won the final . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X8YIJ68yiQ |

Question: Do you still have the boat? Answer: Yes, we still have the boat. We still have the powerhead. I hasn’t been run since that race in 2008. The powerhead is not a Mike Wienandt. It’s an original non blueprinted block. The motor is not match ported it’s original. It was the best performing powerhead I had raced. The rest of the assembly was the best performing race tested original parts I had. The combination made the powerhead even better. In a World Championship with 3 engine inspectors checking every measurement I didn’t want to risk having the powerhead fail inspection. Every part was original stock. The best comment was by Jeff Titus when the UIM inspector asked about the block ports not all being exactly the same cylinder to cylinder. Jeff said “that’s because the motor is stock it hasn’t been altered.” |
