Okay collective.... I've got a few minor glass and gelcoat repairs to do this winter in the cuddy and interior. What products should I use (cloth, resin, gel/paint)? Also.... I want to reinforce a few places under the rear seat and such so no cracks come back... Should I just sandwich in some plywood? Balsa? and if so do I just glue in a piece and then glass over top?

I am a rookie with glass. But dammit am I ever intelligent.

Thanks

http://www.compositescanada.com/,, no glue mitchie, core bond, ;) ,,are the cracks in the gel or into the glass? if its just a small surface crack you can sand it out and re gel, if it is a deep crack into the glass, you will want to sand into the glass and build it up with mat, then re gel, blending can be tricky, i havent played much with gel yet, just glass mostly. ,,
remember i am a novice so dont take my word for it

The give away that they are not on LI though is that they look like a couple of Canadian hosers in their hockey jersey and Parry Sound dinner jackets respectively....

in fact I would say that is what helps make this picture classic and I love it!

Pat and I are bad to the fn' bone.

Does polyester resin and gel cure in the Canadian winter cold? Somebody put together a reasonable shopping list for me please.

And boomer ... You can kiss my corebond ass. :) lol

Don't do glasswork in the cold....use vinyl if you need a chemical bond to old glass...like if you don't want your shit to peal off after your done. Otherwise just come over or pick up the phone lol.
